This brooch was based on the era of the 1930s. a lot of my pieces are inspired by architecture stream line forms and it was the cars grills and skyscrapers of the 1930s that were the main focus to this design. I wanted the piece to be elegant and linear with difference of levels. The tapered panel of palladium wire helps accentuate the elongated form as well as the channel of peridot stones that divides the piece diagonally.
I love capturing the world around me and seeing how nature grows and develops. This forms some of the inspiration for my designs. I also like to show my work in progress here, as each piece is uniquely different from commissions to my collection pieces.
